Vocational training
Investing in the future of aquaculture
Tomorrow’s aquaculture depends on skilled people — and at Måsøval, we take that responsibility seriously. As an authorised training company, we welcome apprentices each year and ensure they receive close follow‑up, solid professional guidance and real hands‑on experience across the value chain.
Most apprentices join us after two years of upper secondary school in aquaculture, aquaculture technology or industrial mechanics. They spend the next two years as full‑time apprentices — becoming part of the team from day one.

Fields where you can grow
- Aquaculture: Learn fish health, feeding strategies and daily farm operations — from smolt to harvest — and develop the skills needed to handle salmon safely and responsibly.
- Aquaculture Technology: Work with the systems that keep our farms running. You’ll learn to operate and maintain feeding systems, pens, vessels and technical equipment that support stable and safe production.
- Industrial Mechanics: Gain experience with maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment across our facilities — essential for smooth operations and minimal downtime.
Apprentices participate in real operations: fish reception, vaccination, feeding, maintenance, delousing, deliveries and more. You’re treated as a full member of the Måsøval team, with responsibilities that match your skills and development.
Quality follow-up and a safe learning environemnt
Each apprentice is assigned a dedicated professional supervisor who provides training, follow‑up and guidance throughout the apprenticeship. We encourage curiosity, initiative and learning — because competence development is central to Måsøval’s strategy for building an attractive workplace and a strong future workforce.
For us, vocational training is more than a requirement. It is an investment in people, in local communities, and in the future of responsible aquaculture.
