Moving Forward with Strength, Pride, and Unity

You can find the complete 2024 annual report on our reports and presentations page.

2024 was a year marked by development, coordination, and new insights – but also by challenging periods that put us to the test. We took important steps to strengthen the entire value chain, and thus our ability to produce high-quality salmon in a responsible and sustainable manner. At the same time, we were reminded of the importance of transparency, clear values, and a strong community – especially during turbulent times.

A United MÃ¥søval – from Roe to Market

With the establishment of Måsøval Harvest and Måsøval Sales, we completed our transition to a fully integrated aquaculture company. This means better control, closer interaction between biology, operations and market, and most importantly – increased security for employees, customers, and partners.

We have also strengthened our service capacity – with a new wellboat and investments in operational preparedness, as well as reinforced our biology team. These measures have already enhanced our ability to handle biological challenges and ensure good fish welfare – and we continuously work to improve further.

The biological challenges in parts of the sea phase in 2024 have been demanding, but they have also taught us much and provided valuable insights for the future. Through strong efforts and expertise across the organization, we have handled the situations well – and taken important lessons with us in our improvement work.

The People Behind the Development

Behind all these initiatives are people. 339 colleagues – at sea and on land, in operations and administration – who throughout 2024 have shown an impressive ability to collaborate, solve problems, and build upon what we have created together. We have strengthened the organization with new roles in HSE, HR, and quality, and our talent program has brought forward new voices and ideas that will shape Måsøval in the years to come. Through all this, we have also strengthened our learning culture – where new ideas are given space, and experiences are shared across the organization to make us even better.

We are proud to be a visible actor in our local communities – as an employer, partner, and community builder. The increased number of sponsorship inquiries we have received confirms this impression: that we are seen and counted upon.

The Road Ahead

In 2025, we continue to build – with the goal of producing healthy and sustainable salmon with even higher precision, predictability, and quality. This requires collaboration, learning, and bold choices – and we are well underway. We still have much to strive for, but also much to be proud of.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed throughout the year – employees, owners, customers, partners, and neighbors along the coast. Together we continue to build Måsøval – with respect for nature, pride in our craft, and the belief that we achieve more when we do it together.
