Måsøval enters into collaboration with Frøya Laks for operation of 2,433 tonnes MAB

Måsøval has today entered into an agreement with Frøya Laks for operation of 2,433 tonnes MTB. The collaboration will take the form of a co-location agreement.

The parties have intentions for long-term collaboration, and the first generation will be put to sea in 2023 and harvested in 2024.

Frøya Laks is a collaboration between Frøy Kapital AS and BEWI Invest AS, two independent investment companies that both have their origins in Central Norway, with coastal-related business as one of their focus areas. The companies together purchased 2,433 tonnes MTB in production area 6 at the state auction in 2022.

“This agreement will give Måsøval better utilization of infrastructure that we have invested in over recent years. Frøy Kapital AS and BEWI Invest AS are partners we know well and have collaborated with in various areas for many years,” says Asle Rønning, CEO of Måsøval AS.

“We are pleased to have reached a co-location agreement with Måsøval for operation of the acquired MTB. It is rational for the parties that the collaboration is organized by Frøy Kapital and Bewi Invest establishing a joint company,” comments Roger Granheim, chairman of Frøya Laks.
