‍In green energy too, Måsøval are true pioneers. Måsøval was the first fish farmer in Norway to supply electrical power from land to all their facilities. To achieve this, we laid a five-kilometer-long high-voltage line and invested over 10 million Norwegian kroner in this green project.

Previously, the facilities were powered by noisy and polluting diesel generators. A single generator alone consumed 70,000 liters of diesel annually.

The investment in shore power not only reduces our climate footprint. It also improves the working environment for all those who previously worked near polluting and noisy generators. Now they can enjoy both fresh air and the sounds of nature.Enova supported the initiative with 5 million Norwegian kroner. For society, this energy saving equals the power consumption of 210 households.

Måsøval measures and reports all our energy consumption, from electricity and fuel to travel and transportation. We are committed to being as energy-efficient as possible and continuously developing in a positive direction.
