The employees of Måsøval AS want to be co-owners in their own employer. 75% of the workforce and board members have purchased shares in the company. – This is an important vote of confidence for us and makes us humble and proud. It creates an even stronger bond throughout the entire organization, says Chairman of the Board Lars Måsøval.

This Thursday, Måsøval AS was listed on Euronext Growth, Oslo, under the ticker “MAS”. In a private placement and secondary sale totaling NOK 825 million, Handelsbanken, Songa Asset Management, and Odin Forvaltning joined as cornerstone investors.

– For us as a company, the interaction with our employees is absolutely crucial. That as many as three-quarters of our 120 skilled employees have invested in Måsøval is very gratifying. It means that we have succeeded in anchoring our strategy throughout the entire company, and that everyone shares the belief in the path forward, says the Chairman of the Board.

In addition, 60.5% of employees in the two companies recently acquired by Måsøval, Pure Norwegian Seafood AS and Stokkøy Skjell AA, have also purchased shares in the company. In total, employees and board members have bought MAS shares for NOK 16,029,538.
– There are concrete growth initiatives for the coming years. These include commissioning recently acquired capacity, integrating the two new companies into our strategy, developing a new post-smolt facility, and focusing on general operations, says Måsøval.
In addition, Måsøval has secured 4 development licenses in connection with the Aqua Semi project, which has a total production potential of 6,000 tonnes HOG. Måsøval has grown significantly in recent years and has doubled its production since 2017.

This applies all the way from smolt to ready-to-deliver salmon.
